Witch worships the earth around them; we seek to live in harmony with nature and to do no intentional injustice to another
creature or person in our path. The moon
has importance to us, we believe that it affects the energies surrounding the planet and controls the situations and the moods
of mankind. We feel we can attune
with powers the normal person cannot. We
have an understanding of the supernatural and look deeper into spiritual issues for solutions to problems. We believe in both an outer and inner world, this we call our spirit
world. We believe that the earth is a
place of learning, a bit like a school. We come here for a short time, learn life’s lessons in order to further our
spiritual development and then we return to our home, the place from where we initially came from, (the spirit world).
The things we don’t manage to learn or fully understand in one lifetime, we may choose to come back to our earth and
try to achieve it again when we reincarnate. To a certain extent we do not accept authoritarian, to us we are all equal, but we do appreciate and respect
that there has to be certain people that set out laws and rules for our own well being. We do not believe in Satan or The Devil as defined by Christian tradition.
We understand that there are evil influences in this life but consider the word ‘Devil’ as being a Christian concept
which was used to scare people and convert their faiths throughout the centuries. We do not advocate any ill will towards another being nor do we relish
in the power of influencing others. We work only for the good and well being of other individuals. These are some of our beliefs, many Witches and Pagans regard as their
basic ground rules. At this stage it may be interesting for you to take a quiet moment and try to think back as to how
you became interested in the Wiccan ways. Reflect back as far as you can to when you were small. Did you have
some underlying knowledge or understanding of the beliefs you now have? I think
you will find that you did!.
